The African Market Place (A.M.P.) was birthed out of a "Sankofa Consciousness Workshop" facilitated by Ra James West at Sojourner Truth Museum in 2015.  AMP is a place where like minded people gather to plan and take action to do for self and the community. Each 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, we come together to celebrate culture, innovation, and community. This market isn't just an event; it's a movement – a celebration of Black excellence where legacies begin.
